The FD Group was started in 2004 by Trevor Wilson and Bevan Metcalf, both experienced Chartered Accountants, who were independently providing a part-time Finance Director service to SME business owners.
The solution for The FD Group was to develop a comprehensive package to attract and support high calibre FDs. By avoiding the common mistakes, and in benefiting from a great brand and marketing tools our FDs have the ability to enjoy higher earnings, make a real difference to their clients, while feeling an integral part of a team of like minded professionals.
The FD Group’s focus has historically been around the Thames Valley, but now that the concept has been tested we are all very excited about expanding and going national. We have new franchise opportunities now right across the UK and, if you are an experienced FD, we would like to hear from you.

We know that this mission and vision will only succeed if our franchisees are successful. We will achieve this in three ways:
- By providing our franchisees with an FD support service second to none;
- By giving each FD franchisee complete ownership of the client relationship; and
- By making ongoing franchise fees affordable and not linked to their client billings.
This means that all FDs within The FD Group know that the hard work involved in building up their business will directly pay them dividends. At the same time, there is the comfort that professional support and encouragement is constantly on hand to help you make this happen.

Starting with our induction training programme, you will quickly find out what works and what doesn’t. You will understand what differentiates The FD Group. You will learn the techniques you need to create a positive impression with potential clients and, most importantly, make the sale.
But it doesn’t stop there. There is ongoing support for your business, enabling you to keep in regular contact with work providers and prospects and maintain a presence in your market place while you are busy working.
